My grandfather died today.
He was a good man who worked hard for everything he had. I am proud to say that I am his granddaughter.
Grandpa,
I prayed last night for you to have peace. I am glad, after all this time, you finally got it. You lived a great life. Thanks for leaving a legacy of family and love.

I finally wandered over here from Hugh's place so I could leave you a nice "thank you for your enthusiasm" comment, and here I find such sad news from you today. I'm very sorry for your loss. No matter how long we've had to "prepare", or how long and full a life our loved ones have lived, it seems they always leave a giant hole in our hearts when it's time for them to go. Hopefully he will live on in all the good memories you've shared.
